The Reason for our Trials

You never know that God is all you need until He is all you have. Your pain is not in vain. Allow it to enlarge your heart to new possibilities of some deep healing. Our trials should lead us to the grace that's meant to deliver us!

This is why we should not deny our painful feelings or fears. It's important to acknowledge them because God wants to reveal Himself as Healer.

See it like this: Instead of being motivated by the pain that's in us, we need to be motivated by the freedom from our pain! What choices, perspectives and beliefs need to change to support your new freedom?

We were not created to be dominated by pain, but to be motivated by love! The enemy tries to get us mad at God. But God wants to redeem us (as well as our descendants) from the very pain that has caused the struggles to begin with.
This just makes me happy instead! I believe that's the joy that was set before Jesus when He endured the cross, despised the shame, (Hebrews 12:2), disarming the rulers of darkness and putting them to shame with His triumph! (Colossians 2:15). This can become our joy too! He endured these contradictions so that we could too.
Having this perspective and willingness to grow is a call to greater maturity. Here are some scriptures that say it well:

"For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall is to be revealed in us." Romans 8:18 KJV

"And we know that all things work together for good to them who love God, to them who are called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28 KJV

"Looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him who endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds." Hebrews 12:2-3 KJV
