Rebuilding a Flawed Foundation
The shakings of life are inevitable. They reveal character and
test the foundations our lives were built on. We may try to ‘hold it together’ pretending
we’re secure, so people wouldn’t see what’s hidden.
Any faulty or insecure system is not sustainable over time.
Eventually things ‘bottom out.’ When
life shakes us ‘to our core,’ it exposes more than what’s physically seen.
“..the removing of what can be shaken—that is, created things—so
that what cannot be shaken may remain..” Hebrews 12:27.
The truth becomes harder to ignore because we were created to grow
in greater truth that is laced with perfect love. Truth has spiritual elements
as we are spiritual beings that have a soul and live in a body.
Many souls are searching for a truer paradigm that is trustworthy.
It can get messy as whatever is hiding causes unrest because we don’t want to
give up fear-led control. Outdated foundations were often built on lies from
our past. The light of greater truth is exposing what’s in the dark. Our souls
are recalibrating, searching for that Master Plan we know exists somewhere.
“For
there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that
will not be made known and brought to light.” Luke 8:17.
As we become aware of our own predictable and comfortable lies, it
stirs up conflict in and around us. Let this work for you. Don’t let pride
resist the process. Open hearts get downloads from the Master Builder. Hebrews11:10.
“For he
was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder
is God.”
Rebuilding on Perfect Love from the Inside Out
God wants His family back and His perfect love is that foundation.
Only His blueprint lasts forever. In order to rebuild, our hearts must return relationally
to its original home. Our hearts are the restore points where His truth and love
are established. He wants to give you what’s been missing: HIS TRUTH and LOVE
in the innermost parts; our hearts.
Surely
You desire truth in the inmost being; You teach me wisdom in the inmost place.
Psalm 51:6.
Testing our Weak Spots
Many people avoid examining areas of weakness, but those are the places
where love has been missing. If only we let Him give His love in exchange.
2 Corinthians 12:9 “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power
is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my
weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
God is attracted to brokenness because He is love. Psalm 34:18. The LORD is
near to the brokenhearted; He saves the contrite in spirit. God
wants those broken pieces to create His masterpiece in you. He “makes
everything work together for good for those who love Him and are called to His
purposes.” Romans 8:28.
His perfect love came to earth in the person of a relational
Savior. Jesus is the missing piece that rebuilds our lives on a secure
foundation. He is the Chief Cornerstone. Mark 12:10. “For we are
God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared
in advance as our way of life.” Ephesians 2:10.
Jesus’s physical body ‘temple’ was destroyed but God rebuilt it
when He was raised from the dead on the third day. John 2:19. What does this
mean to us today? His Spirit resurrects our spirit and our soul awakens to
greater reality. Just as Jesus was raised, our whole being comes to life at it was
designed for God’s glory. We always belonged to Him. But now, we are free to
choose what blueprint to follow.
John 1:14 says; the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen
his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of ‘grace and truth.’
Grace and Truth are eternal building blocks that literally change our
DNA, infusing our bodies with resurrected life! Our bodies are “temples” in
need of redemption. Many are awakening to this newfound hope and purpose.
For no
one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood,
hay, or straw, his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it
to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of
each man’s work. If what he has built survives, he will receive a reward. 1
Corinthians 3:11-14.
“And they
that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the
foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer
of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.” (Isaiah
58:12)
“Beloved,
let us love one another, because love comes from God. Everyone who loves has
been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God,
because God is love.” 1 John 4:7-8.
